Feldthurns (Italian: Velturno; Archaic (985 AD): Velturnes) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 80 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 25 km northeast of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,629 and an area of 24.8 km².
The municipality of Feldthurns contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Caerne (Garn), Snodres (Schnauders), San Pietro Mezzomonte (Schrambach), Sottocolle (Unterum), Giovimano (Tschiffnon), Alla Difesa (Wehr), Gola (Gulln) and Pedrazes (Pedraz).
Feldthurns borders the following municipalities: Brixen, Klausen, Villnöß and Vahrn.
Ötzi the Iceman is attested to have spent his childhood here, some 5300 years ago.
